Logo particle animation tools compared
These tools solve different problems. particl.art hosts the animation and gives you an embed. DanceLogo renders video and image files. Particle Logo exports files and code that you host yourself. tsParticles is a code library, and Trapcode Particular is an After Effects plugin. Everything below was read from each product's own pages on November 3, 2026, and every fact links to its source.

Particle Logo vs particl.art
| Topic | particl.art | Particle Logo |
|---|---|---|
| Where the animation runs | Hosted by particl.art; your site loads it from there with a script tag or an iframe URL (terms) | Exported files and code that you host; the HTML file makes no network requests when it runs |
| Free plan | 1 project, 1 embed (stops rendering 14 days after publishing), PNG export, files up to 5 MB, up to 30,000 particles (pricing) | Preview all 9 effects, export watermarked video and GIF, download the HTML file (pricing) |
| Paid plan | Pro $9.09/month after a 14-day free trial, renewing monthly; unlimited projects and embeds, embeds do not expire, GIF and video export (pricing, terms) | Pro $6.99/month, or $34.99 once for lifetime access (pricing) |
| Account | Google sign-in is required to use the editor (terms) | The workbench and the free exports work without signing in |
| Your image | Uploaded and stored in its database (privacy policy) | Processed in your browser and not uploaded (about) |
| Changes after publishing | Updates to a published embed reach visitors within about 5 minutes (terms) | Exports are static files: to change the animation, export again and replace the file |
| Particle count | Up to 30,000 (free) or 70,000 (Pro) particles at runtime (home page) | Code exports embed up to 1,600 points; this is a different measure (sampled points, not runtime particles) |
| If you stop paying or close the account | Free embeds stop rendering after 14 days; closing the account makes every published embed stop loading (terms) | Exported files do not depend on a Particle Logo server to run |
particl.art fits if you want a hosted embed and accept that it depends on particl.art's servers and a Google sign-in. Particle Logo fits if you want files and code that you host yourself, or a one-time price.
Particle Logo vs DanceLogo
| Topic | DanceLogo | Particle Logo |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | Rendered image and video files: PNG frames, GIF, animated WebP, Frame ZIP, WebM, MP4; HTML and code are not in the format list (pricing) | Video and GIF, plus code: an HTML file, Vue 3 / React components, a Framer / Webflow snippet, point cloud JSON (about) |
| Free plan | Upload assets, try every animation, save projects and preview without limit; rendering and downloading need paid access (pricing) | Preview all effects, export watermarked video and GIF, download the HTML file (pricing) |
| Paid plan | $49 once for 365 days, no auto-renewal, VAT added where it applies; after it ends you can still edit and preview but not render or download (pricing) | $6.99/month, or $34.99 once for lifetime access (pricing) |
| Transparent output | PNG, animated WebP, Frame ZIP and some WebM keep transparency; GIF needs an opaque background and MP4 fills transparent pixels with black (home page) | Transparent-background WebM is a Pro export |
| Templates | 430 templates, 155 of them for logos (home page) | 9 particle effects (effects) |
| Your assets | The terms say assets are received, processed and stored; files saved to My Assets are served from public object URLs, so do not upload confidential files (terms) | Processed in your browser and not uploaded |
DanceLogo fits if you want many ready-made templates and files such as PNG, WebP, GIF and video. Particle Logo fits if you need code you can put into a website (HTML, Vue, React) or a lifetime price.
Particle Logo vs Particleify
| Topic | Particleify | Particle Logo |
|---|---|---|
| What it makes | 3D particle animations from images, SVG and GLB 3D models; it also has scenes and a text lab (home page) | 2D particle animations from PNG, SVG, JPG and WebP logos, drawn with the 2D canvas API (about) |
| Video | MP4 up to 60 seconds; free up to 1080p, 2K and 4K are Pro (home page, generator) | MP4 or WebM at square, landscape and portrait 1080p sizes is free (watermarked); 4K is Pro (pricing) |
| HTML file | A single HTML file with inline WebGL code; marked Pro in the generator (generator) | The HTML export is in the free plan |
| Framework components | Only one scene (Stellar Flow) mentions HTML and React under "Export code"; Vue is not mentioned (feature guide) | Vue 3 and React components (Pro) |
| Price | Pro opens 2K / 4K video, HTML export and all scenes; the lifetime price is shown at checkout, so we cannot list a number (generator) | $6.99/month, or $34.99 once for lifetime access |
| Is the image uploaded? | The home page says the creation flow from upload to export runs in the browser; it does not say whether images are sent to a server (home page) | No |
Particleify fits if you want 3D particles or start from a 3D model. Particle Logo fits if you want a 2D logo particle animation and a free HTML export.
Particle Logo vs tsParticles
| Topic | tsParticles | Particle Logo |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | An open-source particle library for JavaScript and TypeScript, with wrappers for React, Vue, Angular, Svelte and more (official llms.txt) | A no-code tool that exports a finished component |
| Logo particle effects | The Canvas Mask plugin can use an image or text as a mask (docs) and Polygon Mask can use SVG paths (docs); the official docs we read do not include a complete "image to logo particles" example | Upload a logo, pick an effect, export |
| How much code | Install the engine and plugin packages, load the plugin, then write options; the official docs do not say how many lines a logo effect takes | None to write; the exported components have props such as progress and variant |
| Cost | MIT license, free (repository) | Free plan and Pro |
| Export | An export plugin can save images, JSON and video through code (docs) | Video, GIF and code exports from the interface |
tsParticles fits if you want to design the whole particle system yourself and are happy to write configuration. Particle Logo fits if you want a finished logo animation component without writing the animation code.
Lottie and After Effects plugins
- Lottie / LottieFiles. Lottie is a JSON-based animation format. LottieFiles describes its uses as animated icons, illustrations, onboarding and interface micro-interactions (What is Lottie); the official pages we read do not mention turning a logo image into particles automatically. LottieFiles' blog says the same animation can be several MB as a GIF and is usually a few KB as a Lottie (Lottie vs GIF). For reference, Particle Logo's HTML exports were 22 to 67 KB (6 to 12 KB gzipped) in our tests. They are different kinds of animation, one prepared as vector data and one generated by code at runtime, so the sizes are not a like-for-like ranking.
- Trapcode Particular. An After Effects plugin from Maxon (Red Giant) (product page). Maxon's own guide says it is only available through a Red Giant or Maxon One subscription and has no perpetual license (Maxon guide). It renders video in After Effects, so putting it on a website means exporting a video file.

What we could not verify
- particl.art: whether the free plan adds a watermark; the specs of GIF and video export; the commercial license for outputs.
- DanceLogo: the exact size limits for GIF and Frame ZIP; the currency of the price; whether downloads carry a watermark; refund details.
- Particleify: the Pro price and currency; watermarks; whether an account is required; whether it exports GIF; its terms and privacy pages returned 404.
- tsParticles: a complete logo example; whether Canvas Mask includes a gather or scatter animation.
- Lottie / LottieFiles: the currency and billing period of paid plans; the full list of supported features.
- Trapcode Particular: the price (the purchase page on Maxon's site loads prices with a script that we could not read).
About this comparison
This page was written by Particle Logo Studio, the operator of Particle Logo, so we have a stake in the result. We only list facts that each product states on its own pages, we say plainly when a page does not say something, and we link every source. Prices and limits change; the pages were read on November 3, 2026. If you spot something that is out of date, email support@particlelogo.com and we will correct it.
Particle Logo's own figures come from the pricing page, the about page and the export sizes we measured.
